Here at Southwest, we have a long-held tradition of baking cookies together around the holidays. Everyone brings their own dough or batter, and we work together to bake lots of different kinds of coo es. At the end of the party, everyone goes home with a variety of cookies instead of the one kind they started ki out with. In the past, we have always met at someone’s home, but with our own building, we have the luxury of being able to meet at church and no one has to host! Also, since we have our own building, we have combined this annual activity with the tradition of putting up and decorating the swuu tree. We hope you will join in this fun intergenerational gathering on Saturday, December 6th at 6:00 in the evening.
Due to the timing of the event which is around the dinner hour, we are planning to start with a simple meal which requires very little clean-up. Think pizza, sandwiches, fruits, and veggies. You won’t need any desserts, because we can sample the cookies throughout the evening. We hope to be completely finished with eating and cleaning up by 7:00 at the latest! If you prefer to eat at home, feel free to come after your dinner around 6:30 or 7 and join in on the fun! Families are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please email swpaxson@cavtel.net. Hope to see you there~!
