LGBTQ Welcoming Congregation

Southwest Unitarian Universalist Church is a Welcoming Congregation, as described by the national Unitarian Universalist Association. This means that our members include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people at all levels of congregational life – worship, program, and social events.  It also means that an understanding of the experiences and concerns of LGBTQ people is part of the fabric of our church life, and so is the appreciation for their contributions to our society and culture.

  UUA’s “Side with Love” Campaign

Side with Love is an interfaith public advocacy campaign promoting respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person. In public debates on immigrant justice, LGBTQ equality, #Black Lives Matter, and more, UUs side with love and call for respect, inclusion, justice, and compassion.
