Zentangle is a meditative art form, in which repetitive patterns are used to create beautiful tiny pieces of art. The process, as with meditation, it’s both relaxing and fun. You don’t need to be able to draw or even feel you are a creative person to be successful!

All supplies will be provided for your first evening, at which time you will get a brief introduction to zentangle and a Handout, which includes a list of suggested supplies, etc. It does not need to be very expensive to start, as just paper, pencil, and a felt tip pen will get you started! After your first evening, I will ask that if you wish to continue to use my supplies, you donate a dollar an evening to help me cover the cost. As interest demands, there are other applications to use zentangle which we may explore… Such as using the technique to make bookmarks, necklaces, etc. These are all referred to as “zentangle inspired art”. These projects will always be optional, but require a dollar or so donation, again, to help me pay for the supplies. I will always be there to help you in the process and further your skill, but once you have a grip on zentangle, the group will be more self led; an opportunity to get together and work on our own projects with company, rather than an actual class with lessons. Beyond my knowledge, I will also have books that may be referenced during the group. As we meet, I will get a feel for the groups dynamics and may experiment with format and things such as relaxing music, time to work together in a group, etc.

Please think about adding this great stress reliever to your calendar! Feel free to contact me with any questions at kem377306@gmail.com, or by phone or text (just say who you are, please!) at 216-410-5922. I look forward to seeing many of you 7pm in the church’s fellowship hall (downstairs).
