Southwest UU’s fall festival/ fundraiser will include some new activities this year. We are featuring a CHILI COOK-OFF for those Chili makers who would like to see if theirs is the best. When you sign up, let us know if your chili is vegan,vegetarian,meat,or really spicy. If you have a recipe that everyone raves about, consider entering our contest to see if it really is the best! There will also be chili toppings like cheese, onions, and jalapenos. In addition, we will offer tossed salad, hot dogs, and desserts. We are planning some kids’ activities including a craft led by Michelle Rasey, a pumpkin hunt in the cemetery, stargazing(if it is clear) and dancing. The cost for the event will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and
free for kids 5 and under. If you decide to bring a pot of chili, you will be admitted for half-price. Look for sign-up sheets on the table in the lobby in the next few weeks.
